Salary: £34,000

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Criteria:

  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Qualification (AET, PTLLS) and/or a recognised Assessor Award (CAVA, TAQA, A1 etc.)
  • Must hold a current or recently expired SIA Licence.
  • Experience of coaching/training or mentoring Security Professionals.
  • Must hold Level 3 in First Aid.
  • Must hold Level 3 Conflict Management and Physical Intervention.
  • Must possess a sound knowledge of SIA regulations and industry standards.
  • Occupational competency in Security, within the last 5 years.
  • Driver, with own vehicle (flexible with travel).

Duties include:

  • Teach/assess learners in a classroom-based environment, who are working towards SIA approved training courses (Door Supervisor, Event Stewarding and First Aid, Conflict Management and Physical Intervention).
  • Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners' skills, knowledge and behaviours.
  • Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
  • Keep abreast of changes within SIA regulations and industry best practice.
  • Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner's needs.

  • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
