Overview: We are currently seeking experienced Fire Stoppers for a 6-month subcontract role, working across residential sites in the Swindon and Gloucester area. This is a remedial fire stopping position, involving the use of Baston, mastics, and a range of industry-standard fire stopping materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out remedial fire stopping works on residential projects
- Apply mastic, Batt & Mastic systems, and other passive fire protection solutions
- Ensure all work is compliant with current fire safety regulations and project specifications
- Accurately complete documentation and reports related to fire stopping work
- Coordinate with site management and other trades when required
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection (Essential)
- Proven experience in fire stopping (remedial works preferred)
- Own vehicle and tools
- Valid Basic DBS Check (or willingness to obtain before start)
- Ability to work independently and to a high standard
- CSCS card preferred
Additional Details:
- Subcontractor position – Outside IR35
- Paid weekly every Friday

- Mileage and parking expenses covered at 35p per mile
