Role Overview: As a GIS Solution Enterprise Architect, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining the overall GIS architecture framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology standards. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing scalable and robust geospatial solutions, collaborating with stakeholders, and staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies in GIS and enterprise architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the overall GIS architecture framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology standards.
• Design scalable and robust geospatial solutions that integrate with existing enterprise systems, collaborating with business units, IT teams, and external partners to gather requirements and understand geospatial needs.
• Assess and recommend GIS technologies, tools, and platforms that meet the organization\’s needs, and ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices during implementation of GIS solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, and establish best practices for data management, integration, and security within the GIS environment.
• Create and maintain architectural documentation, including diagrams, standards, and guidelines for GIS solutions.

Qualifications / Experience Required:

• Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject is desirable.
• Proven experience as a GIS Architect or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and proficiency in GIS software and tools.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle management techniques and experience in product and vendor evaluation and technology rollout.
• Knowledge of solution architectures, including applying standard architectures and patterns within solution designs and various hosting environments/platforms.
• Experience with cloud-based GIS solutions and data integration techniques, along with relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and good stakeholder management and influencing skills at the project stakeholder level.
