Company Overview: Our client is a well-established and globally connected manufacturing business based in Trowbridge. Operating within a high-precision, fast-paced sector, they are a key supplier to a number of major clients both in the UK and internationally. Due to continued investment and a number of strategic projects, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a temporary basis.
Role Overview: This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and capable Project Manager to take ownership of multiple cross-functional projects across the business. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role will involve working closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to support operational and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams across departments such as engineering, production, supply chain and quality
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans including scope, timelines, resource planning and budgets
- Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation plans
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders
- Ensure all projects meet internal standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support business transformation activities
- Facilitate the smooth integration of new products, systems or changes across the organisation
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial setting
- Prince2 Practitioner qualification (or equivalent formal project management certification)
- Degree in Engineering (or a strong technical background within engineering-based environments)
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
- Excellent leadership, planning and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently in a dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Competence with project management tools such as MS Project and Excel
- Experience in a technical or production-led business is preferred
Contract Details:
- Contract Type: Temporary circa 9-12 months
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
