Teach Now is working with a well-established and inclusive secondary school that is seeking a part-time SEN teaching assistant to join their team from September 2025. The school has a strong track record of supporting students with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN across KS3–KS5
  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement individual learning plans
  • Support students' emotional and academic development
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
  • Help with classroom preparation and behaviour management when required

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience supporting young people with SEN in a school or similar setting
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive school culture
  • A relevant qualification or training in SEN is a bonus, but not essential
