Blaymires Recruitment is working with an established building contractor near Botley who is searching for a Working Foreman to join their growing team. The company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-end residential and listed building projects throughout the South. Due to an increase in project wins, they are looking for a hands-on leader to manage upcoming projects while working on the tools when required.
The Role of the Working Foreman:
- Overseeing and managing high-end residential and listed building projects.
- Leading a team of tradespeople to ensure high-quality project delivery.
- Working on-site, combining supervision with hands-on trade work when needed.
- Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain smooth project operations.
- Ensuring health & safety regulations are followed on-site.
Requirements of the Working Foreman:
- Experience as a Working Foreman or Working Site Manager in residential or commercial construction.
- Strong leadership and site management skills.
- Trade background (groundworks, bricklaying or carpentry preferred).
- Ability to work flexibly between management duties and hands-on site work.
- CSCS Card and SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
- First Aid certification.
- Own tools.
- Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.
