We have an excellent opportunity for a Legionella Risk Assessor to join our global organisation on a permanent basis. As a Legionella Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for carrying out Legionella risk assessments. A good working knowledge of water systems, supplies and water regulations governing these is required. This is a home-based role but must be able to travel to the Wolverhampton office when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To conduct Legionella risk assessments
  • To conduct water hygiene related tasks
  • Highlighting unusual results and referring them for further investigation to the appropriate staff member.
  • Proof reading of finished reports, as well of those of others where required.
  • Client liaison where required
  • Maintaining equipment / consumables in an operational state and notifying line manager of any lost, damaged, exhausted equipment / consumables as appropriate.
  • Checking all uploaded risk assessments, as frequently as required, on the SGS digital project management platform to ensure accuracy of data upload from the associated field work app.
  • Undertaking water hygiene orientated tasks as required by the needs of the business such as water temperature monitoring, water sampling, TMV servicing, shower head descales etc.
Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who has experience in undertaking risk assessments on domestic hot and cold water systems. Experience in using hand-held digital devices on a daily basis to input risk assessment data. Experience in water temperature monitoring. Experience in water sampling (Legionella TVC & PSA). Experience in TMV servicing. Experience in performing risk assessments on a range of building types and water systems.

For this role it is also essential to have at least one of the following qualifications:

  • Appropriate BOHS proficiency module certificates for Legionella risk assessment and management (BOHS P901, P903, P904) with P901 as a minimum (or City & Guilds Equivalent WH004).
  • Water Management Society Risk Assessor Course.
  • Ofqual nationally regulated qualification credit framework (QCF): Relevant Level 3 diploma in Legionella risk assessment.
