We are currently looking for an Environment, Safety & Health (ESH) Manager to join our team at Sulzer Pumps UK Ltd in Leeds. If you’re driven by purpose, passionate about keeping people safe, and ready to lead change, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

Purpose of the role

As our ESH Manager, you’ll be responsible for fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. You’ll lead the ESH team to develop, implement, and continually improve policies and procedures that ensure legal compliance and the well-being of all employees across Sulzer Pumps UK.

Your Main Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and support the ESH team in delivering safety objectives across the site
  • Ensure continual improvement and legal compliance of health, safety, and environmental management systems
  • Promote and develop a proactive safety culture throughout the organisation
  • Maintain and improve compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 standards
  • Manage departmental budgets and support risk reduction initiatives across SPUK

To succeed in this role, you will need

  • A degree in occupational safety, health, environmental or a related discipline
  • Significant experience in a health and safety leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of relevant ESH legislation and industry codes of practice
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills with the ability to influence and motivate others
