Be a part of the Corporate Technology team! We work closely with several peer groups in HR, Engineering, Finance, and IT. Our team manages all global configurations for the Workday functional areas, including Core HCM, Compensation, Time Tracking, Absence, Payroll, Talent & Performance, and Benefits.
We are seeking a Workday Systems Engineer to serve as the functional lead and SME supporting our global Payroll configurations in Workday. Apply and join our team!
What you'll get to do...
- Work in an agile environment with a team of problem solvers, helping resolve complex business issues from strategy to execution.
- Build or maintain functional configurations and features of the Workday application, focusing on Global Payroll, including business process workflows, calibration tasks, custom reports, custom validations, condition rules, and calculated fields.
- Collaborate with business partners to understand requirements, configure, prototype, and test.
- Participate in sprint planning, provide estimates, and work on prioritized tickets related to your functional area.
- Coordinate with partners for UAT and sign-offs; perform peer reviews following deployment documentation and methodology.
- Document configurations, processes, and procedures related to Workday payroll system.
- Assist in fixing and resolving Workday production issues, leveraging the latest features released by Workday.
- Support cyclic projects and new architectures for Payroll, including Third Party Payroll integrations.
- Collaborate with IT, HR, Compensation, and Finance on multi-functional projects to implement Workday solutions addressing business needs.
- Provide support and training to end users on Workday HCM, Talent & Performance modules, emphasizing accuracy and standard methodologies.
- Recommend strategies for efficient use of Workday functionality based on process and technology knowledge.
- Continuously enhance technical and industry knowledge through forums, discussions, training, webinars, etc.
- Participate in Workday's bi-annual releases—review features, assess impact, test, and strategize implementation.
Your experience should include...
- 8+ years of experience processing/configuring in HCM or Payroll applications.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday configuration, especially in Payroll.
- Strong understanding of Workday payroll architecture, calculations, and integrations, along with Business Process and Security Framework.
- Experience with creating and supporting EIBs for mass transactions.
- Ability to craft basic custom reports for supported functional areas.
- Proficiency in various Workday modules.
- Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced global organization improving Workday.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills across multiple projects.
- Solution-oriented mindset with experience in functional or technical ERP implementation.
