PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Work the PPG Way and drive PPG's One Team ethos, live, breathe and lead our values – Trust & respect, commitment, interdependency’s & pride.
- Collaborate and work seamlessly with Regional Business Managers to ensure collision segment strategy is delivered within the region.
- Champion interdependency developing leading relationships with other refinish departments (other BDM’s, sales team, marketing, operations, finance, technical, Pinetree, human resources, supply chain).
- Strategic focus on winning new business “hunting” in the collision segment and making sure support infrastructure is put in place to manage those accounts.
- Responsible for driving collision influencer approvals into the sales region, working closely with relevant sales team members to maximise network conversion and penetration.
- Focus on winning new business in defleet, working closely with commercial teams to deliver new wins in this segment.
- Ensure we are represented and build long and lasting higher level relationships with top industry collision customers in the region.
- Collaborating closely with RSM’s to support increased Share-Of-Wallet gain in strategic accounts using approval portfolio and influencer relationships.
- Responsible for working closely with National Business Development Manager for Collision in defining new influencers/approval targets and for executing those agreed under responsibility.
- Allocated Responsibility for national influencer accounts with HQ in assigned region (Insurer/OEM/Accident Management Company).
- Support EMEA BDM team for those accounts under regional responsibility that have cross border and European connections/opportunities.
- Support Vantage Point Sales pipeline management process, by driving approvals into pipeline process and supporting regional sales teams to develop robust and balanced sales pipelines in the collision segment.
- Support achievement of overall collision budgets in sales region.
- Manage all activities in compliance with the PPG Blue print objectives, EHS goals, Quality, Business conduct and code of ethics policies.
REQUIRES: (Functional/Technical Skills & Knowledge)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Automotive Refinish sector.
- Proven sales track record and track record in securing new business.
- Accurate numerical reasoning, with good understanding of financial models.
- Organisational skills to compile information and for assessment and monitoring of sales and account performance.
- Ability to build relationships at all levels internally and externally to positively influence others.
- Excellent communicator at all levels, written and verbal.
- Collaborative style, team player.
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Fully IT literate.
- Valid Full Driving License.
