Our client is a family-run steel fabrication company based in Swadlincote, specialising in the manufacture of mild steel products. With a strong reputation for quality and reliability, they are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to take ownership of all quality-related activities at their workshop facility. As Quality Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the quality standards throughout the fabrication process. This is a hands-on role requiring in-depth knowledge of fabrication practices and the ability to interpret technical drawings. You will work closely with our production team to ensure that all products meet customer requirements and comply with internal and external standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of quality control and quality assurance within the workshop.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings to assess product conformance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality procedures and documentation.
- Carry out inspections at various stages of fabrication to ensure compliance.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Conduct internal audits and support external audit processes where required.
