An automotive component manufacturer requires a HSE officer to expand on their existing team. As the HSE Officer you will provide a coordinated approach to management systems, risk assessment, auditing, accident investigation, legislative and company compliance. The ideal candidate will be someone who understands the compliance required for adherence to the environmental standards.

Commutable from: Coventry, Birmingham, Solihull, Nuneaton, Hinckley, Royal Leamington Spa, Tamworth, Redditch, Evesham, Stratford-Upon-Avon.

Package: £40,000 - £45,000 p.a. + Benefits.

The Role:

  • Advising Management on HS & Environmental issues and ensuring compliance with UK legislation.
  • Monitoring and reporting on HS & Environmental performance.
  • Assisting the HSE Manager with managing the committee meetings and implementing the corporate health, safety and environmental policies across the automotive plant.
  • You will monitor national and local legal requirements for environmental and health & safety and with the assistance of the HSE Manager you will initiate the implementation of required amendments.

The Person:

  • Educated with the relevant Health, Safety and Environmental qualifications (NEBOSH or equivalent).
  • Experience in a fast pace automotive or manufacturing environment.
  • Internal auditor for ISO14001 & ISO45001 would be advantageous.
  • Candidates who hold IOSH membership and IEMA certified will be at a distinct advantage.
  • You will have knowledge of automotive quality standards and best practices.
