Purpose of Position
Working as part of our small and established Standards team, alongside an experienced member of staff, you will help us to ensure that we maintain and validate the qualifications of our Instructors and Examiners. This will help to keep us fully compliant with the legislative and regulatory requirements from our company and external organisations.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred, or three years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least two yearsβ experience within an administrative role, ideally (but not necessarily) with compliance experience.
- Educated to Aβ level standard or equivalent and possess a GCSE qualification, or equivalent, in English and Maths.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Accuracy and attention to detail with an understanding of how to present documents professionally.
- Understanding of the responsibilities of working with confidential information.
- Ability to exercise discretion, use initiative and prioritise to meet specific time requirements.
- Recognise when it is appropriate to escalate matters for additional guidance.
- Friendly and professional attitude to develop excellent relationships with both colleagues and clients.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to liaise with people at all levels.
- Proficient in standard office IT such as Microsoft Office.
- Experience of databases to input, interrogate, interpret and present information in a report format.
- Accountable for information management to ensure that relevant data is accurate, timely, accessible, and can be presented coherently.
- Knowledge of data quality principles and standards relating to information security.
- Knowledge and experience of best practice in compliance processes and procedures would be helpful, but is not essential.
- Knowledge of the different regulations and license requirements within the aviation industry would also be beneficial but are not essential.
