Inside IR35 Contract position
Key responsibilities:
- Work along with a Workday Platform team and define solutions to accomplish the Platform mission, vision and roadmap.
- Collaboratively work with functional consultants, Solution/Enterprise architects to drive the long-term architectural direction.
- Work with integration consultants to define new integrations to/from any third-party systems.
- Technically own the immediate business priorities, system enhancements, integrations and transformations.
- Manage activities that take place during solution ideation, solution design, and solution implementation.
- Review business context for solutions to company challenges as well as designing to realise the vision and requirements for the solution, recommending potential options, selecting the most optimal option, and developing a roadmap for the selected solution.
- Communicate the architecture to the stakeholders and collaborate and coordinate with existing domain architects in the formalization and adoption of IT standards and procedures.
- Champion a structured approach to business application solutions.
- Assist in the development of a solutions architecture program including departmental roadmaps and project portfolios for IT systems architecture.
- Assure solutions not only fit the specific purpose but also closely align with the standards guidelines of technology solutions.
- Influence changes to standards when necessary.
- Support the architectural aspects of all application projects in the IT portfolio.
- Direct the identification and recommendation of appropriate solutions, upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning options incorporating business and technology productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership.
- Provide analysis of security protection technologies as necessary.
- Own and manage system upgrades and integrations.
- Participate in release planning activities, system and solutions demos, and inspect & adapt events.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
- Experience in Workday modules such as Core HCM, Talent & Performance, Advanced Compensation, and Learning.
- Experience developing Workday reporting and analytics.
- Experience in designing integrations to/from Workday to different third-party systems.
- TA experience in the HR domain and a strong Workday background.
- A proven track record for architecting Workday solutions.
- Ability to quickly and independently gain control and run solution design within the Platform Organisation.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in previous engagements.
- Understanding of Architecture Review Board and Technical Design Assurance process and has delivered Solution Blueprints and design artefacts.
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
- Architecture and technology knowledge in the Aviation domain.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under indirect supervision and take on responsibilities swiftly.
- Broad understanding of information technology topics.
