As a Store Manager, you’ll be someone who shares our love of delighting others. You’ll take full ownership of your business and lead your team to achieve sales targets whilst delivering outstanding customer service. You’ll be an experienced and commercially focused retail manager.
Role Purpose: Accountable for the business performance of your store and the management and development of the store team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service.
Role Responsibilities:
- Drive the sales and profitability of the store to obtain outstanding results
- Set an example and deliver exceptional customer service within the store
- Promote high visual merchandising standards and maintain store housekeeping standards
- Plan and manage all aspects of Health & Safety in accordance with law and company standards
- Manage store stock control, stock count, payroll budgets, and targets
- Motivate and drive the team to achieve and exceed objectives
- Collaborate with the District Manager and HR to address people issues effectively and promptly
- Recruit and develop a high-performing team
- Manage cash handling, banking, and safe procedures following company standards
- Oversee till management, including open tills, issuing, cash handling, and variances
- Monitor competitor activity and take action to maximize footfall and profitability
- Develop quarterly strategic plans with the District Manager to meet business goals
- Implement loss prevention controls to prevent theft and errors
- Conduct regular 1-2-1s, reviews, and appraisals with team members
- Respond promptly to customer questions and complaints, seeking help when needed
- Live Clinton’s values and instill them in the team
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
Role Parameters: Willingness to travel to other stores if necessary. Reports to Assistant Manager and Team Members.
Budget Management: Responsible for store budget.
Working Arrangements: Work 5 out of 7 days. Availability for weekends, early mornings, and late nights. Flexibility to adjust hours based on workload.
Key Stakeholders: Store Team, Divisional Manager, Central Operations Department, HR Department.
Qualifications and skills: Strong coaching and development abilities, enthusiasm, drive, and motivation, previous retail management experience, excellent sales techniques, and a customer-oriented approach.
