Are you a driven sales professional looking for your next big opportunity? We're seeking an ambitious, commercially minded Sales Development Representative to join a fast-growing packaging business. This is a pivotal role focused on driving new B2B sales, building strong client relationships, and supporting innovative marketing activities that expand brand awareness and increase customer retention.
As our Sales Development Representative, you'll play a key part in growing our market presence and winning new business. Reporting directly to a supportive senior management team, you'll work closely with an external digital agency and take ownership of B2B sales outreach, lead generation, and client engagement. Key Responsibilities- Generate new business by identifying, approaching, and converting B2B prospects through research, outbound activity, and database development.
- Lead and deliver targeted sales and marketing campaigns to attract new customers.
- Manage and grow a pipeline of qualified leads, following up on all enquiries and sample requests.
- Develop compelling marketing content and support promotional activity across email marketing, PR, trade media, and social media channels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to drive repeat business and upselling opportunities.
- Analyse competitor activity to continually refine sales strategies.
- Keep digital channels updated with key product information and promotional messages.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring all client interactions reflect our high standards.
- Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or marketing - ideally within packaging, manufacturing, or a product-based environment (but not essential).
- Confident communicator with strong written skills and an engaging approach to client interactions.
- Highly organised self-starter with experience in lead generation, CRM systems, and digital marketing tools.
- Commercially minded, goal-oriented, and motivated by achieving measurable results.
- Experience collaborating with digital marketing agencies is an advantage.
- Deliver consistent growth in new account acquisition.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline through proactive outreach each month.
- Support and help deliver at least one digital campaign per month.
- Achieve targeted annual sales growth and customer conversion KPIs.
Full-Time | Monday to Friday (Core Hours: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM) Office based in Altrincham, with occasional client visits as required. Competitive salary based on experience.
