Role Summary

Creating connections between people-related data and critical business metrics, providing actionable insights that guide strategic decision-making and operational plans.

Role Accountabilities

  • Proactively analyse HR data to identify potential issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement in areas such as employee turnover, engagement, performance, and recruitment.
  • Develop and implement predictive models and analytical frameworks to forecast HR challenges and support proactive decision-making, creating data-driven HR strategies and initiatives that align with organisational goals.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of HR data using statistical techniques and data analysis tools to understand root causes of HR issues and provide actionable insights.
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive HR dashboards and reports that provide clear and concise visualisations of key HR metrics and trends for HR leadership.
  • Collaborate with People Partners, other HR functions and the business to understand data needs and provide analytical support for strategic initiatives.
  • Present data findings and recommendations to HR leaders in a clear and compelling manner, translating complex data into easily understandable insights.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of HR data, adhering to data privacy regulations.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in HR analytics and data science.
  • Oversee and report on Great Place to Work Accreditation and any other external surveys conducted.
  • Support ad-hoc data analysis requests and projects as needed.

Role Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HR Data Analyst, People Analytics Analyst, Workforce Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUP, macros).
  • Experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis techniques and their application to HR data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good understanding of HR processes, metrics, and KPIs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Desired qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with HRIS systems ideally Salesforce and Sage.
  • Familiarity with statistical programming languages such as R or Python.
  • Experience in developing and implementing predictive HR models.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
