The Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) is seeking a substitute teacher to teach at-risk adolescents in residential facilities run by the Department of Youth Services. This is an excellent opportunity to experience teaching in an alternative setting where you can make a difference in the lives of young people. We are a progressive and innovative non-profit organization dedicated to providing personalized and engaging education to youth in DYS programs across Massachusetts.
We seek experienced and aspiring educators passionate about making a difference through substitute teaching. Our teachers work with small classes, averaging 5 students, with provided work plans and behaviour support. Students have access to behavioural and therapeutic supports, including clinical, behavioural, and guidance services.
Our students are aspiring artists, scientists, musicians, college-bound, neighbours, and future change agents eager to be seen, experience hope, and contribute. We value social justice, equity, compassion, patience, and flexibility in our educators.
