Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent emotional and behavioural support to pupils with SEMH needs
- Build trust-based relationships with students and act as a key adult figure in their day-to-day school life
- Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to adapt learning materials and manage behaviour positively
- Deliver interventions that help pupils develop resilience, self-regulation, and positive social skills
- Support integration in the classroom while ensuring each child feels safe and understood
Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs or in a similar role
- A calm, empathetic, and patient nature
- Strong understanding of emotional development and behaviour strategies
- A desire to build long-lasting, supportive relationships with students
- Any relevant training or qualifications (e.g., Team Teach, Thrive Approach) is a plus
