The primary purpose of this position is to provide residents with routine daily care, assisting with direct and indirect resident care duties as directed by the charge nurse and/or certified nursing assistants.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist residents with dressing and personal hygiene.
- Support CNAs with residents requiring two-staff transfers, excluding mechanical transfers.
- Make occupied and unoccupied beds.
- Assist in obtaining weights and providing baths.
- Perform incontinent care for residents who can move in bed.
- Assist residents with meals, set up trays, and ensure belongings are within reach.
- Respond promptly to call bells.
- Transport residents to dining and outside appointments.
- Engage in 1:1 supportive interactions with residents.
- Support residents with technology communication tools.
- Maintain supplies and assist with inventory.
- Encourage hydration and monitor intake.
- Check fall precautions and clean equipment after use.
- Assist with admissions, appointments, and visitor directions.
