Make a lasting impact in a young person’s life. Join NewReflexions’ dynamic Response Services team in beautiful North Wales. New Reflexions is a childcare organisation dedicated to offering care, education, and therapy services to young people who have encountered trauma, leading to emotional and behavioural challenges. Specifically, the New Reflexions Children’s Residential Service provides therapeutic placements, catering to individuals aged between 10 and 18 years, for both short-term and long-term placements.

Combining a love of the outdoors with a passion to support complex children to learn and grow, we are seeking caring, compassionate people to work in our short term activity based placements in our Response provision in North Wales. We are currently looking to recruit energetic, enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our expanding workforce in Bala and Corwen.

Salary: ÂŁ31,754 - ÂŁ32,552 (Overtime available)

Working Pattern: Full Time positions (Requiring a 2 on 4 off rota and sleep-ins) 365 day service due to the nature of the work.

New Reflexions offers care, education, and therapy services for young people. Join us in assisting vulnerable young individuals with emotional and behavioural difficulties, who require support with daily activities such as education and life skills. We are seeking care workers who are calm, conscientious, and compassionate, capable of tending to the daily requirements of our vulnerable young people.

The Role

  • Support young people (up to 18) in short-term placements, helping them feel safe, valued, and respected.
  • Deliver outdoor, activity-led learning—including canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, and more—designed to build confidence and resilience.
  • Work closely with clinical professionals to assess emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Follow a 2 on / 4 off shift pattern, including sleep-ins, as part of a small, dedicated team in residential settings.

We offer care workers support through our comprehensive paid two-week in-person training program, when you first join us. After finishing your training, you will become familiar with your role by meeting your team, attending a house meeting, and shadow shifts, which will help you ease into your duties. Managers will be on hand to offer assistance and guidance whenever required.

Essential Requirements

  • Full UK manual driving Licence; access to own vehicle.
  • Passionate about helping children.
  • Able to get to a rural work location.
  • Able to complete a rota pattern with Sleep ins.
