At UKPN Services, we are looking for a dynamic and ambitious Principal Engineer to join our Client Delivery team based in Elephant and Castle.

With an attractive salary of £94,904 plus inner London Allowance and a 3% bonus, this permanent position offers not only financial rewards but also a chance to work with a company that values innovation and excellence. As the Principal Engineer, you will report to the Engineering Professional Head and be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions that comply with relevant legislation, client, and UKPN Services standards.

In this role, you will lead a diverse team, providing technical guidance and ensuring the successful implementation of designs across our contracts portfolio. Your expertise will be crucial in developing robust design solutions, preparing accurate tender submissions, and assessing cost/benefit trade-offs. You will be the technical liaison with suppliers and clients, helping to create new business opportunities and ensuring the delivery of projects on time and within budget.

As our ideal candidate, you will have a degree in engineering or science, a safety management qualification, membership of a professional body such as the IET, and be a Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership. With at least five years of experience as a senior engineer, you will bring knowledge of power distribution, electrification, SCADA, and communication systems, along with basic project management skills.
