THE ROLE

The postholder will support the design of a newly funded UK Centre in adult social care - Improving Adult Social Care Together (IMPACT). This is an opportunity to be part of an exciting and innovative Implementation Centre, funded for nearly 7 years by the ESRC and the Health Foundation to improve social care outcomes by implementing evidence-based practice in the sector across all four UK nations. The postholder will support IMPACT’s Northern Ireland Lead to develop IMPACT’s Northern Ireland Assembly and engage with diverse stakeholders and people with lived experience of adult social care in IMPACT’s wider work.

We may create a 12-month waiting list for the same or similar roles within the Department / Faculty. The University reserves the right to extend the waiting list across the University if required for certain posts.

ABOUT YOU

The postholder will be required to have:

  • A Master's or PhD in a relevant subject area, or equivalent qualification.
  • Significant demonstrable expertise in applied research in social care, disability, mental health, ageing, or other settings relevant to IMPACT’s work.
  • Experience of working within the NI health and social care policy landscape.
