About Us: David Lewis College provides specialist day and residential education for young people aged 11-19 with autism, epilepsy, complex neurological conditions, and learning difficulties. Every student at our college has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and we are committed to delivering personalised, high-quality support that empowers each individual to thrive.

The Role: As our EHCP & Transitions Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all statutory duties related to EHCPs are met and that students experience smooth, well-supported transitions throughout their educational journey and beyond.

You will:

  • Lead the coordination and review of EHCPs for all students.
  • Collaborate with families, professionals, and local authorities to ensure plans reflect each student’s needs.
  • Monitor progress and adapt support strategies accordingly.
  • Ensure legal compliance with SEND legislation and advocate for students’ rights.
  • Support transition planning and contribute to the wider quality assurance and development of the college.

What We’re Looking For: We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage a complex caseload.
  • A confident communicator with experience working with multi-agency teams.
  • Knowledgeable in SEND legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Educated to Level 5 or above in a relevant field, with or working towards a recognised SEND qualification.
