This is a location independent role. You will be required to travel to customer sites at least 2 days per week in the UK and occasionally Ireland.
The Vertical Market Lead for Data Centres is responsible for the development, exploitation and maximization of GB&I regional data centre accounts and profitable growth of the assigned account(s) for the represented Siemens organizations (Divisions, BUs). Reporting into the Head of Vertical Markets GB&I, the role holder will act as a strategic and trusted advisor to Sales Leaders in the GB&I region and liaise with Data Centre key partners in Siemens, identifying, developing, and implementing initiatives that improve sales performance and customer satisfaction within the data centre sector.
You’ll make a difference by:
- Defining the go-to-market strategy for the vertical and setting targets regarding new customers.
- Ensuring the implementation of Vertical related strategies, policies and guidelines, in line with the overall business strategy.
- Driving customer focus within the organisation and initiating/contributing to planning of customer related product development measures or the setup of customer related projects.
- Developing, proposing and being responsible for Vertical sales budgets and growth forecasts aligned with the sales strategy.
- Managing completion of budgets and regular sales reporting.
- Collaborating with key Siemens partners including within region, Data Centre of Competence, regional Businesses and Vertical organizations.
- Driving productivity of the Vertical (customer development plan, opportunity pipeline, growth...).
- Resolving customer potential and ensuring sufficient market transparency.
- Ensuring sufficient industry and portfolio specific know-how of the sales organization, as well as vital sales skills.
- Cooperating with Marketing and regional businesses in matters of strategic and tactical product and service positioning.
- Orchestrating building and strengthening of relationships with Regional TOP Accounts (ERP Program).
- Providing solutions via partners or own value chain (if applicable).
- Defining and allocating resources and leading and/or coordinating dedicated management and staff.
- Managing assigned organizational unit(s) and leading and/or coordinating dedicated management and staff.
You’re excited to build on your existing expertise, including:
- Showcasing the ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization, creating a collaborative and growing environment.
- Some years’ experience in B2B sales, Business Development, Sales Perfection and/or Account Management within industry and/or management consultancies.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively whilst also executing operationally with high attention to detail and operational perfection.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and tackle ambiguous and highly sophisticated problems and thrive in fast-paced matrix environments while managing multiple work streams with matrixed resources and goals while balancing business needs.
- Demonstrating exceptional communication skills including significant international collaboration and leadership proficiencies to connect and work across organizational boundaries, including engaging with stakeholders up to a senior management level.
- Being passionate about making a positive customer impact while balancing business needs.
- Ability to travel to collaborate with Key Customer Accounts, Regions and Thought Leaders.
