Your new school I am recruiting for a Teacher of Welsh language in a large secondary school in Caerphilly that has over 900 pupils. The school has high standards of teaching and excellent facilities, allowing the pupils to succeed. The leadership team have a clear vision for the school and communicate it very well to create an inclusive ethos and a strong community feeling.

Your new role

Starting ASAP, you will be teaching a full-time Welsh timetable. Your job will include:

  • Full teaching responsibilities including planning, preparation and marking.
  • Teach KS3, KS4 and KS5 second language Welsh.
  • Pastoral duties including parents’ evenings and being a form tutor.
  • Actively take part in departmental meetings and contribute to the wider school community.
  • What you’ll need to succeed

  • You will hold a valid PGCE, ideally with QTS.
  • Previous experience teaching Welsh up to KS5
  • Strong behavioural management skills
  • Hold a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain a new one.
  • Up to date EWC registration.
