This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our site maintenance and engineering team as an electrical technician. Responsibilities include:

  • Routine electrical testing (such as portable appliance and RCD testing)
  • Planned maintenance on industrial processing equipment
  • Supporting services
  • Troubleshooting unplanned equipment issues
  • Improving reliability
  • Developing in-house skills in industrial process control systems like PLCs, variable speed drives, and industrial controls

About You

You should be a qualified or near-qualified electrical technician, ideally holding HNC/NVQ/SVQ3/C&G 2365 or 2357/C&G 5357 qualifications. Experience with BS7671:2018 (18th edition) is preferred, but we support development for the right candidate. A passion for learning, especially in industrial automation, is important. You will join a small, well-established team on a day shift (06:00-18:00, Monday to Friday), with critical call-out duties on a 1-in-4-week rota.

You should have strong fault-finding skills, the ability to install and modify equipment, work safely, and collaborate across engineering, technical, quality, and production teams.
