Facilitate Search is a specialist recruitment business to FM & the Built Environment. We have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join one of the UK's largest FM services providers.
Join a growing, forward-thinking business delivering complex commercial and industrial projects across the UK – starting with a major data centre project near Harlow, running for the next 12–18 months, with further projects lined up beyond.
The Role:
- As M&E Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take the lead on full commercial management of key MEP packages.
- Working closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and management
- Preparing and managing scopes of work and tender documentation
- Supporting both pre- and post-contract phases with estimating and commercial insight
- Managing valuations, variations, payments, and reporting
- Ensuring cost efficiency, value engineering, and commercial compliance across M&E works
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within M&E, ideally in commercial, industrial, or critical environments
- Strong working knowledge of subcontractor management and package scoping
- Experience delivering full lifecycle commercial responsibility on projects of scale
- Able to work flexibly between site (Harlow), office (Stevenage), and home
- A proactive, solutions-driven attitude with attention to detail and strong commercial acumen
