Morgan Hunt is partnering with a leading college in the Bath area to recruit an experienced Adult Careers & Progression Officer. Role Overview

In this role, you will support adult learners across a variety of programmes, including Community Learning, ESOL, Skills Bootcamps, and Part-Time Qualifications. You will play a key role in understanding learner motivations, coordinating work experience placements, and monitoring learner progression into further education or employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with disadvantaged communities to identify learning and skills needs, barriers to progression, and support requirements.
  • Support adult learners to successfully transition into appropriate education pathways or employment opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of learner participation, progress, and outcomes related to work experience and placements.
  • Gather local labour market intelligence to inform curriculum development and support initiatives.

Candidate Profile

  • Educated to Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject area.
  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
  • Sound knowledge of careers guidance, adult employability skills, and the local adult skills landscape, including DWP priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), including the ability to create basic formulas.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to supporting adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
