This is a permanent position, and you will help us build on our success to date by continuing to deliver and grow our pioneering impact property fund initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Property Development & Portfolio, you will be responsible for managing our portfolio of over 1,300 properties, the majority of which are leasehold. You will work collaboratively with other teams and our Housing Partners to ensure that our customers live in high-quality homes, ensuring key repairs and maintenance are carried out in a structured and efficient fashion, financial oversight maintained on all property-related activity, and the Fund's interests are always safeguarded. This role is based in Manchester where you will be required to attend the office 2 days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the effective management of leasehold and freehold portfolio, including repairs management, contractor management, and financial oversight.
  • Interpret leases to identify maintenance obligations and ensure repairs are satisfactorily completed.
  • Monitor repairs carried out by the Partners until satisfactory completion.
  • Oversee communication with freeholders and managing agents.
  • Update and maintain leasehold/freehold records and plans ensuring all information is accurate.
  • Manage complaints cases to ensure KPIs are met.
  • Deliver leasehold related compliance activity, such as lease extensions.
  • Safeguard the fund's interests through managing leases/agreements and ensuring compliance with legislation.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain Key Performance Indicators relating to all aspects of the property portfolio.
  • Attend residents’ group meetings as required.
  • Assist with training of colleagues and key partners as required.

Skills & Experience:

  • Significant previous experience in Property (Freehold & Leasehold) Management overseeing multiple properties and maintenance contractors.
  • Good understanding of the Landlord and Tenant Act in relation to leasehold regulatory compliance and service charges.
  • Knowledge of the social housing sector best practice and relevant legislation.
  • Line Management experience to direct, inspire, and guide a small team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Property Management software.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Strong execution skills; able to orchestrate numerous moving pieces and drive projects forward.
  • Empathetic; able to see the other side of the story while holding people to account.

  • Willingness to travel within the UK with a full UK driving license.
  • A committed team player with excellent communication skills.
