Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-focused Accounts Clerk to support their finance department with day-to-day accounting functions and report to the accounting team leader. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team in a critical industry with opportunities for long term progression and development. This is a permanent position and will offer a hybrid element following probation and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily accounting operations including invoicing, data entry, and reconciliations
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and promptly
  • Record invoices through SAP
  • Maintain accurate accounts payable ledger
  • Maintain up-to-date financial records and ensure proper documentation
  • Assist with monthly reporting, financial statements, and audits
  • Liaise with internal teams and external clients to resolve billing queries
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
  • Communicate with internal and external teams to resolve invoicing issues or discrepancies
  • Other admin/ad hoc tasks as required

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (logistics industry experience desirable)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; knowledge of SAP
  • Commercial awareness
  • Strong numerical skills with high attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Able to handle sensitive data with confidentiality
  • Willing to travel between sites/locations as required
