To provide a flexible support service to a young adult male with cerebral palsy. Acting in an enabling capacity, the role will include some personal care but will mostly involve supporting the client to access the community and social events of his choosing. He enjoys going out socially, shopping, music, reality TV shows and has a great sense of humour.
The role requires sensitivity to the client’s needs (and those of his family) and to work in partnership with therapists and other professionals, to meet his needs and to support in his therapeutic progression.
Candidate must be willing to support with holidays to the client's holiday home in South Wales.
Hours of work: 36 hours per week to include days, evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.
£14.00 per hour weekdays and weekends, £12.21 per hour sleep-ins.
A full driving licence is essential.
Due to the nature of the role an enhanced check with Disclosure and Barring Service will be required.
