Are you a detail-oriented administrator with a passion for delivering exceptional client service? We’re working with a well-regarded law firm in St Albans who are looking for a Legal Support Administrator to join their busy and supportive team.

In this full-time, office-based role, you will play a vital part in supporting the Private Client and Residential Property departments. You will be responsible for onboarding new clients, managing compliance checks, and assisting with new business enquiries β€” all while helping to ensure a consistent and high-quality client experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Open and close files (electronic and physical) in line with firm policies
  • Handle new client onboarding: verify ID, input data, complete AML and conflict checks
  • Prepare and issue client care documents and terms of service
  • Support legal teams by flagging any compliance issues during file opening
  • Maintain accurate client and contact databases
  • Respond to internal and external queries in a timely, professional manner
  • Take new enquiries via phone, email, website or in person
  • Support Private Client team with administrative tasks
  • Provide general assistance to the wider support team where required

Essential Skills

  • Previous legal secretarial, administrative or office-based experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Comfortable working to deadlines and managing multiple tasks
  • Friendly and confident communicator – both written and verbal
  • Tech-savvy with experience using case or practice management systems (desirable)
  • Knowledge of legal compliance or AML processes is a plus
