Search Consultancy are currently working exclusively with a well-known business in Central Edinburgh to recruit for an experienced Senior Administrator & Team Leader for a minimum of 3 months, with strong potential for the role to be made permanent. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of an Administrative team within the business, as well as providing high-level Administrative support.
Duties involved in this role will include:
- Day to day line management of a small team of administrators, providing advice and support where needed.
- Management of the 6-monthly development review process with staff, managing both team and individual performance.
- Prioritising, delegating & distributing the workload of the department, ensuring that all work is completed on time.
- Provide diary management and administrative support to the department manager.
- Meeting management for the department including administration, taking minutes, setting up rooms & distributing paperwork & actions.
- Assisting in the organisation of conferences and training events.
- Compiling and distributing regular newsletters.
- Acting as the main point of contact for screening & vetting queries with appropriate bodies.
- Continuous review of administrative and office policies and procedures, identifying and making improvements where needed.
- Acting as main point person for Data Protection issues, queries, data storage and subject access requests.
- Ensuring the best possible service is provided at all times by the department.
In order to be considered for this role, your skills & experience should include:
- Previous demonstrable experience in a Senior Administration role as well as experience leading a small team - both of these are ESSENTIAL for the role.
- First-class organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise & complete a busy workload effectively.
- Solid IT skills including the use of the full MS Office suite of programs.
- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal.
- A willingness to get involved & complete all aspects of the role - assisting the wider team when required.
