We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Associate to join our team on a 12-month contract. In this vital role, you will help design, implement, and maintain EHS programs and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and standards.
You will play a key role in supporting a safe and sustainable working environment, while also contributing to broader learning and development initiatives across the site.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular inspections, tests, and audits to monitor EHS performance and compliance (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001).
- Maintain accurate EHS documentation and records in line with regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the development and delivery of EHS and site-wide training programs.
- Support occupational health initiatives and incident investigations.
- Ensure site-wide compliance with corporate and local EHS regulations, permits, and documentation requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts and contribute to the development of new EHS processes and procedures.
- Provide EHS expertise for assessments, projects, and operational decision-making.
- Support the implementation of the company's safety strategy and Human Organisation Performance (HOP) methodology.
- Strong understanding of EHS legislation and best practices (including PPE, COSHH, Risk Assessments, PUWER, LOTO, and more).
- Experience conducting risk assessments (general, PUWER, noise, vibration, etc.).
- Competent in Microsoft Office with good data management and reporting skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Required: NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent qualification).
- Experience: Previous experience in an EHS role, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
