We are looking for a Health & Safety Specialist to be responsible for the EHS Compliance for a large Stafford based manufacturer. Working in an engineering manufacturing company in Stafford, this role is to provide support sitewide to ensure the company is best placed with their EHS procedures.
You will be required to carry out the following:
- Identify common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organisation's operations, and work with the EHS manager or corporate EHS to establish guidelines for protection from those hazards.
- Prepare or review HSE training materials for the facility.
- Investigate and establish standards for protective equipment.
- Perform self-assessments of safety/health/environmental programmes for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.
Essential Skills:
- NEBOSH qualified
- IEMA Certification desirable (not essential)
- Experience in delivering compliance based projects
- Experience of rolling out & successful implementation across company shop floor & multi-department manufacturing site
- Formal Accident Investigation Programmes / Training desirable
- PUWER compliance experience desirable
- Able to maintain & motivate a small team
This role is deemed inside IR35. Rate: £25 - £25.80 (FCSA Umbrella – This role is deemed inside IR35); PAYE is available also (c £18 - £18.50 ph). Duration initially 6-12 months, although likely to extend beyond and become ongoing.
