We are looking for a hands-on, technically skilled window service engineer / technical engineer to support our customers in the fenestration and glazing industry. You will act as a key technical contact, helping with hardware-related queries, troubleshooting issues, and supporting window and door testing—both in-house and on-site.

As the Technical service engineer this will be a customer-facing role that combines office-based support with field-based visits, offering variety and a chance to build close working relationships with fabricators, installers, and specifiers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert support on double glazing hardware performance and installation issues for windows and doors.
  • Assist in product testing, troubleshooting, and investigation of technical issues.
  • Visit customer sites to provide hands-on guidance and technical support.
  • Liaise with internal teams on recurring issues, product improvements, and feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of site visits, findings, and technical reports.
  • Offer advice on best practices in fabrication and fitting of locks, friction stays, keeps and all window hardware.
What We’re Looking For
  • A strong technical background in the window and door industry ideally from fabrication or installation, as an ex fabricator, fitter or existing glazing service engineer or technical engineer.
  • The Technical Engineer could be an ex window fitter or an existing double glazing service engineer looking for a technical engineers position.
  • Experience with aluminium or UPVc products and double glazing products.
  • Good understanding of hardware functionality in window and door assemblies.
  • Confident communicator with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to problem-solve under pressure and think on your feet.
  • CAD experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) is a bonus, but not essential.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
