Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Commissioning Engineer with Rockwell Automation experience to join our team based in Irlam, Greater Manchester.
The Role
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a critical role in the delivery and deployment of bespoke control systems at client sites. You will be responsible for the configuration, testing, and commissioning of Rockwell-based systems, ensuring high standards of quality and functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Commissioning and testing of Rockwell-based control systems (Allen-Bradley PLCs, ControlLogix, CompactLogix, FactoryTalk, etc.)
- Collaborate with design and project teams to ensure systems meet functional and safety requirements
- Conduct on-site commissioning, fault-finding, and performance optimisation
- Provide technical support and training to clients where required
- Prepare comprehensive documentation including commissioning reports and system manuals
- Travel to client sites (UK-based) as part of project deployment
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in commissioning control systems with a strong focus on Rockwell Automation platforms
- Hands-on expertise with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems
- Experience in sectors such as Rail, Utilities, Power, or Oil & Gas is advantageous
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
