We are working with a leading specialist in grid support services and distributed energy integration, seeking a Power Systems Engineer to join their team. This is a key role for an engineer with strong analytical capabilities, field awareness, and a passion for solving complex challenges in modern power networks.

You will work on projects that support utility clients, renewable energy developers, and infrastructure planners, helping to design, model, and assess grid performance and integration strategies.

Role:
  • Perform detailed power system studies including load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, and transient stability analyses.
  • Model and assess distributed energy resource (DER) integration and hosting capacity.
  • Support substation design reviews, protection scheme evaluations, and control system configurations.
  • Develop technical reports, drawings, and engineering documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Interpret and apply regulatory and grid code requirements (e.g., IEEE, NERC, IEC, NEC).
  • Collaborate with project managers, utilities, consultants, and field engineers to ensure technical accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Contribute to grid modernization initiatives, including microgrid planning and smart grid deployments.
What we need from you:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required); Master's degree (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in power systems engineering or utility-focused roles.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools such as ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, SKM, or CYME.
  • Familiarity with utility-scale transmission and distribution systems.
  • Strong understanding of protection systems, grounding, and SCADA integration.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
