Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mergers and Acquisitions Expert to lead strategic M&A initiatives in the renewable energy sector. The candidate should have a deep understanding of renewable energy markets, financial analysis, deal structuring, and integration processes. The role involves identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and executing transactions that support our growth and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Market Analysis
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential targets in renewable energy.
    • Develop and implement M&A strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Deal Origination and Evaluation
    • Identify potential targets, partnerships, and joint ventures.
    • Perform financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence.
    • Assess risks, synergies, and strategic fit of deals.
  • Negotiation and Deal Structuring
    • Lead negotiations to structure deals maximizing value.
    • Work with legal, tax, and financial advisors to ensure compliance and optimal outcomes.
  • Integration and Post-Merger Management
    • Oversee post-merger integration to meet strategic and operational goals.
    • Coordinate teams for seamless integration of assets and personnel.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting
    • Communicate with stakeholders, including executives, investors, and regulators.
    • Prepare reports and presentations for decision-making and board review.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in renewable asset transactions (PV/solar), with a successful investment or divestment track record.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy lifecycle, especially development to RTB.
  • Based in Europe/UK, preferably London or Germany.
  • Experience with financial modeling, fundraising, and project financing is advantageous.
  • Background in funds or developers preferred.
  • Proficiency in English; Chinese language skills are a plus.
