I’m currently working exclusively with a well-established, values-led business based just south of Norwich that is looking to welcome an experienced Buyer to its friendly and growing team. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a solid background in purchasing – ideally within food, manufacturing or FMCG – who enjoys variety, takes pride in building strong supplier relationships, and thrives in a busy but supportive environment. You’ll be working closely with colleagues across supply chain, technical, and new product development to make sure stock levels are well managed, costs are controlled, and quality is never compromised.
What you’ll be doing:
- Raising and managing purchase orders
- Monitoring stock levels across multiple sites
- Supporting the wider procurement team with sourcing, pricing, and technical documentation
- Keeping internal cost and pricing data up to date
- Reviewing supplier contracts and managing relationships
- Working on new product briefs from initial sourcing through to delivery
- Handling import/export paperwork and resolving invoice queries
What I’m looking for:
- Previous experience in a Buyer role – ideally in food, FMCG, or a manufacturing environment
- Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
- Good attention to detail and well organised
- Comfortable using ERP systems and Microsoft Office
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with a team-player mindset
