Ferndown Day Service are looking for enthusiastic, committed individuals looking for meaningful work that makes a real impact to the lives of people in the local community. You will be supporting person centred activities for people with varying abilities. Activities currently include art, cooking, music, reminiscence, quizzes and games and many more.
About you
- You will be able to make quick decisions and be familiar with the risk assessment process.
- You will be flexible and adaptable in your approach to ensure our service meets the need of the people we support.
- You will create positive and fun environments for the activities you support.
- You will be part of an established team and will have other support staff working alongside you.
- You will provide a degree of personal care and one to one support as required.
- Experience of working with people with a disability is desirable but a friendly, caring attitude with a willingness to learn is equally important in this fulfilling role which makes a difference to peoples lives.
Full training and personal development provided.
Hours
We have flexible positions available offered on a part time basis. The core hours are 9-9.30 am – 3.30-4 pm Mon, Tues, Thurs, Friday. There may be occasional opportunities to support people to attend events outside of the service in the evening and at weekends. It would be beneficial if you have a valid drivers licence and have access to a vehicle you could use for business purposes.
