The Opportunity
An elite US law firm with a growing presence in the City is looking to expand its Financial Restructuring team with the addition of a talented Associate. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing, close-knit team at the forefront of complex cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters. This role has arisen due to continued growth and increasing market share in London. The successful candidate will gain exposure to some of the most sophisticated and high-value mandates in the market, working alongside leading practitioners in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
The role:
- Advising on a broad range of financial restructuring and insolvency matters, often with a cross-border element
- Supporting on complex finance transactions involving private capital, special situations, and distressed investing
- Working on bespoke financing structures including PIKs, prefs, warrants, converts, and new money solutions
- Collaborating closely with senior lawyers and clients to deliver strategic, commercial advice on high-stakes matters
The successful individual is likely to have:
- Strong academic background (minimum 2:1 or equivalent)
- Excellent technical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commercial mindset
- Experience or interest in private credit, special situations, or complex finance structures is highly desirable
