Role Overview
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you’ll provide dedicated support to pupils across Key Stages 1 and 2 who need additional emotional, social, and mental health guidance. You will help students engage positively in learning, boost their confidence, and develop essential life skills in a nurturing and structured environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored emotional and behavioural support to individuals and small groups
- Implement SEMH strategies and interventions in partnership with teachers and specialists
- Help create a safe, supportive, and motivating classroom atmosphere
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, external agencies, and families
