NTT DATA is currently looking for a DWDM Consultant on a hybrid working model (remote + on client site, either London or Sheffield) for our growing team in the UK.
Your responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain OTN & DWDM solutions aligned with FM TX and IP networking needs.
- Configure, monitor and troubleshoot network issues related to OTN and DWDM technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high performance, reliability, and security in optical transport networks.
- Integrate new technologies to enhance FM TX systems for seamless high-capacity operations.
- Conduct technical assessments, recommend upgrades, and implement performance enhancements.
The ideal candidate for this role will have the below experience:
- Hands-on experience with DWDM transmission systems, including coherent transponders, EDFAs, Raman amplifiers, and ROADMs is desirable.
- Multiple years of hands-on experience in FM Transmission (TX), OTN and DWDM.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex network environments.
Hybrid working: 3 days/week on client site (London or Sheffield), 2 days/week remote.
