About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Contracts Manager to oversee large-scale, high-specification commercial landscape construction projects across London and the South of England. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside some of the top landscape architecture practices and main contractors in the industry. You’ll be part of a growing, respected, and employee-focused business with a commitment to quality, collaboration, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the delivery of hard and soft landscaping projects
- Programme and oversee all site activities, ensuring timelines and quality benchmarks are met
- Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Prepare and review risk assessments and method statements
- Collaborate with QS teams to deliver accurate monthly valuations
- Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with relevant JCT/NEC contracts and health & safety regulations
- Solve on-site issues promptly, maintaining a proactive and professional approach
- Drive site performance and help mentor and develop junior staff
What You’ll Need
- Proven experience delivering large-scale commercial landscape projects
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- High attention to detail and strong commercial awareness
- Proficiency in MS Project and construction documentation
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Qualifications & Certifications
- SMSTS
- CSCS (Manager/Supervisor level)
- IOSH Managing Safely (Desirable)
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (Desirable)
- Level 6 NVQ in Construction Site Management (Desirable)
