Read and interpret drawing and design production documentation.

Weld components in Flat (PA) and Horizontal/Vertical position (PB) using MAGS welding process.

Fabricate and assemble structural steelwork components to meet specification.

Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, drill and weld material.

Operate machinery such as mechanical saw, punch/press to produce components.

Perform quality inspections to ensure welds meet industry standards and project specifications.

Carry out other duties associated with employment such as housekeeping and maintenance.

Collaborate with team members to plan and execute welding projects efficiently., We are seeking to appoint an experienced welder & fabricator to join our workshop. We are an established local family run business servicing the structural steel industry. You will be working as part of a team who produce components for steel structures and erections. You will be required to use and operate a selection of machinery, tools and equipment to produce components to specification. You will work either individually or as a team. You may be required to travel to project sites to carry out additional tasks relating to production or after care support.
Previous experience of welding industry or similar an advantage.

Full UK driving licence an advantage

Forklift licence an advantage, * MIG/MAG welding: 2 years (essential)

Salary negotiable depending on experience and ability/qualifications . Approximately 36 hours per week, plus overtime when required.
