Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer. They are looking for an experienced Engineering Team Leader / Maintenance Team Leader (with an Electrical bias) to be a hands-on member of the engineering maintenance team, providing leadership and motivation. You will be responsible for identifying and prioritising pro-active and reactive maintenance tasks on a daily basis. This would suit someone with previous experience in a similar role where Mechanical & Electrical Engineers are managed.
Location: Swadlincote
Shift Pattern: 3 days / 2 nights / 5 off / 2 days / 2 nights / 5 off / 2 days / 3 nights / 4 off (works out as 1 to 2 weekends a month)
Salary: £52,696 (£49,395 basic + £3,301 Shift Allowance)
Main responsibilities:
- Leadership of multi-skilled Engineering team, including delegation of work, monitoring individuals, team performance, coaching and mentoring Engineers and Apprentices
- Drive daily performance and objectives
- Maintaining PPM adherence
- Maintaining monitoring systems
- Leading shift and departmental projects
- Completing personal objectives in line with business requirements
- Liaise with Engineering Manager regarding Continuous Improvement and long-term projects
- Provide hands-on support for shift teams
Requirements:
- Qualified in Engineering (NVQ Level 3 HNC / HND / similar), or Apprentice trained, with an Electrical bias.
- Time served multi-skilled engineer with a strong technical knowledge
- Flexible and motivational
- Previous experience of leading a multi-disciplined engineering team
