Working Hours: 7:00am – 3:00pm, part-time to start (flexible over 5-6 days)

Hourly Rate: £14.00/hour, depending on experience

Contract Type: Fixed-term with a view to permanent

Breakfast & Lunch Service:

  • Prepare and serve a high-quality breakfast and lunch menu for guests, visitors and staff.
  • Ensure consistent quality, presentation and portion control.
  • Set up and clear down kitchen and cafe areas for service.

Menu Development:

  • Develop seasonal lunch offerings based on fresh ingredients and local produce.
  • Collaborate on future menu planning for evening events, functions, and dinners.
  • Test and trial small event dishes, canapés, buffets and bespoke requests.

Operational Standards:

  • Maintain all food hygiene, safety and cleanliness standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene minimum).
  • Ensure efficient stock control, kitchen maintenance and waste reduction.
  • Operate tills, handle payments, and maintain front-of-house presentation.

Team and Culture:

  • Lead service solo during quieter periods; supervise small teams when required.
  • Provide a warm and professional welcome to all guests and visitors.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • A confident, independent chef with 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong breakfast and lunch skills (batch cooking, plating, hot-hold and cold options).
  • Passionate about seasonal cooking, sustainability and developing new menus.
  • Calm under pressure, organised and clean in their work.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – this role involves both kitchen and front-of-house duties.

  • This role is intended to grow over the next 6–12 months. Opportunities include:
