Location: Stanley, County Durham

Start Times: Between 4:00am – 7:00am (dependent on destination)

Schedule: Monday to Friday only – No weekends, no nights out

Rate of Pay: Β£14.00 per hour + holiday pay accrued weekly

About the Role: A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced HGV2 Driver to join a well-established National Glass Company based in Stanley. This is a full-time, ongoing role with regular work for the right driver.

As an HGV2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering glass and stillages to various destinations across the UK, including Leicester, Stoke, Yorkshire, Scotland, and local areas. All deliveries are offloaded by forklift upon arrival – no manual handling required.

Please note: This role is not suitable for drivers who are currently in permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities for the HGV2 Driver:

  • Deliver glass and stillages safely to customer sites
  • Conduct thorough load checks before leaving the depot (loads will be pre-strapped)
  • Complete multi-drop and long-distance deliveries as required
  • Ensure high levels of professionalism, safety, and punctuality

What We Offer:

  • Β£14.00 per hour
  • Holiday pay accrued weekly (separate from hourly rate)
  • Regular ongoing work – Monday to Friday only
  • No weekend work and no nights out

Requirements for the HGV2 Driver Role:

  • Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
  • CPC and Digital Tachograph card
  • Maximum of 6 points on licence – No DR or DD offences
  • Access to a laptop, PC, or tablet – you will be emailed a digital application pack to complete and return
  • A professional and responsible approach to driving
